Case Study - Saunders Cervical Home Traction Device
In orthopedics, traction is the practice of relieving pressure on the skeletal system by using weights or other means to create space between vertebrae. Case Study - New Product Development & High-Volume Contract Manufacturing
Northland Aluminum Products is a manufacturer and supplier of cook and bake-ware to major retailers in the U.S. as well as Canada and Europe.  In 1984 they had a microwave food rotator on the market that addressed the problem of uneven cooking and heating of foods in a microwave oven, but consumers had complained that it was too tall, too loud and too expensive.  They wanted a premier product with which they could sell their new line of polyester microwave cookware.  Northland had neither the space nor the expertise to build and staff an assembly line.  They needed a manufacturer that could build the necessary equipment and get the line running quickly so that they could hit their window of opportunity in the market.
